An Engagement Ring of Art Deco Dreams

Miranda & Chris

Miranda has long admired art deco design introducing the style into their family home, so when Chris made the decision to make Miranda ‘the one’ the brief was to match her style loves in a beautiful engagement ring form.

Exploring Miranda’s lifestyle, a Marketing Manager in profession and loving mum to their 4 year old daughter we guided Chris to pull together a design & specification to meet this hands-on busy lifestyle. Smooth rub over diamond settings in 18 carat white gold were designed to surround and soften the angular centre design.

With Chris’ instruction we were thrilled to bring the design to life in the workshop, it unfolded just as beautifully in reality as it had in the 3D designs. We were sure the answer would be ‘yes’ -and of course it was.

The couple returned for a complementing Wedding Ring, designed to sit flush to the Art Deco design.

Testimonial

"We absolutely loved working with the team at Custom & Co. to create our dream wedding and engagement rings. Ben asked lots of questions to find out more about our inspirations and style ideas whilst also taking into account our lifestyle to design a set of truly unique rings that were exactly as we had hoped and more. We initially thought the engagement ring may make it tricky to find a wedding band to match, but Ben went above and beyond to create a wedding ring that just added to its beauty. Thank you Custom & Co., for helping us to create the perfect bespoke rings that we will treasure forever.”

A Unique design for a unique love story

Cath & Jake

Jake & Cath have been together for over 5 years, they know each other inside out, quirks and all.

The couple had collected a number of sentimental memories along the way in their love story- including a Pearl from their travels to Vietnam and a sentimental engagement ring worn by Jake’s mum.Jake knew that a unique custom ring to symbolise a love like theirs was his ultimate choice when he starting planning a marriage proposal to Cath.

Having an eye for creative design, Jake formulated his ownunique design idea incorporating not only the precious pearl and 18 diamonds from the inherited ring of his mum, but also something to symbolise Cath’s second love in life - animal paws.

With design in hand, Jake met with Custom & Co. Head Jeweller, Ben. In consultation, Ben supported Jake to develop the technical design aspects & select core materials to ensure the design could stand the test of time of a lifetime commitment, and meet Jake’s allocated spend.

The proposal was perfect for Cath, surrounded by ducks and with Jake down on one knee it was a complete surprise, but the answer was ‘YES’.

“Working with Custom & Co. has been an amazing experience, from day one I expressed the desire to design a ring myself and provide design to them to make, the owner Ben has been assisting me with everything from material selection, all the way to advising me how to stay within budget with the design.
The use of 3D printing at the shop has made my dream of giving my partner a completely personalised ring with highly intricate details a reality; not only that, the level of craftsmanship from Ben and the team to put all the pieces together to make a stunning product is awe inspiring.
My new fiancé has not been able to stop looking down at her hand as she is so happy with it.
I plan to be a lifelong customer with them for anything jewellery related in the future
I cannot recommend them enough!!!”

Jewellery to mark precious milestones

Hayley & Nick

Nick had a romantic plan to propose to long-term partner Hayley on the date that marked their 10-year anniversary as a couple. With some style ideas in hand and a spending requirement, Nick approached the Custom & Co. team to start creating a ring with a personal touch. Head Jeweller Ben worked on Nick’s spend requirements, sourcing a selection of stones from which he was able to hand-select the perfect one. Choosing a centre stone which wouldn’t look out of place on Hayley’s slender finger, and adding stones on the shoulders to enhance the pretty sparkle, the result was a beautiful classic ring which will last the test of time.

After a romantic proposal in Italy, the couple returned to update us on their happy news - the team were over the moon. Having fallen for her engagement ring, the couple were keen to start planning their dream Wedding and Wedding Rings to match. We created Hayley a perfect match in the same classical style and 18 carat Gold. And a Palladium band in a court shape for Nick, who wanted something strong and practical due to his profession in the construction industry.

The couple have stayed in touch for regular complimentary inspections and professional polishing services to keep their rings looking good as new. 2 years on, they shared another happy moment with us here, commissioning the making of some baby feet cufflinks crafted from a photograph of their cherished newborn son, marking Nick’s first Father’s day. We can’t wait to see what the next chapter will be for this lovely couple.
